Aquaculture Feeding Devices

Andrew invented a number of feeding devices for the aquaculture industry. His inventions were in fish farming and especially fresh water fish like Trout and Salmon, but they can be used for all types of fish, fresh or salt water.

The inventions feed fresh insect to the fish. They are the insects that are around at that time of year so it is the natural food for the fish. These insect contain the right enzymes for the fish to digest pellet feed better.

Test done at the NSW Government Gaden Trout Hatchery at Jindabyne NSW, showed a 40% saving in pellet food when using these devices.

The solar panel charges Batteries and a light sensitive switch turns on the bugs zappers at night. The insects that are around at that particular time in the season, which are the trouts natural food are attracted to the light.

They get zapped and fall into the water to be eaten by the fish.

Flies enter through the cone shaped mess and cant get out.

They blow Maggots into the meat which can be road kill.

The maggots crawl over the meat and fall into the water.

The fish eat the Maggots which are 95% protein.
