Escalator Handrail Advertising
Was invented by Andrew in the 80's
The invention was ahead of its time, it turned the escalator into profitable space in shopping centres
The patents were lost many years ago and now the invention is used in a few places around the world.
Hard learnt mistakes when things end like this.
Andrew produced a completely new handrail from Urethane with a clear top and advertising pockets inside, in Detroit with a company called Spiratex, They had invented the twisty cable on the older landline telephones. They were experts at wrapping wirer in plastic and they were the only company who would take it on. The handrail manufacture was a success but when it was being rolled out nationally in Australia the patents were moved off shore by a director through an intricate network of companies and lawyers. Learn how it all happened and how to avoid this in the invention course modules.
